Arguably one of the best things about Donald Trump’s presidency is that it has emboldened once timid Republicans. Now, with the Democrats playing the role of usurper, one Republican has come forward with an ambitious plan designed to bring down the Dem menace.

Newt Gingrich has called upon both the House and Senate to subpoena former President Barrack Obama. Gingrich believes that Obama should be forced to answer questions about why he and his administration decided to do nothing, despite knowing about Russian interference in the 2016 General Election (via Dennis Michael Lynch).

Gingrich’s plea for an investigation has very little to do with the liberal Trump-Russia conspiracy.Indeed, as Gingrich told Sean Hannity, the investigators so far have found more information linking Obama to Russia than Trump.

A senior Obama official admitted that the administration “choked” when it came to doing anything about constant Russian interference into U.S. politics (via Bloomberg).

By the way, Obama knew about Russian hacking attempts long before the 2016 election, and yet still sat on his hands.

Such disregard for national security characterized the Obama years. Although he won kudos for authorizing the execution of Osama bin Laden, Obama’s administration voluntarily made America and her allies less safe over his eight years.

Besides his “red line” disaster in Syria, which effectively prolonged the savagery of the civil war there, Obama’s team gave millions of dollars to the regime in Tehran.

Recent reports show that Iran pays the Shi’ite terrorist group Hezbollah $75 million dollars a year, while the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas receives $50 million annually (via Jerusalem Post).

Some of these millions more than likely came from Obama’s shady cash handovers to the Iranian mullahs.

Obama also famously called ISIS a “JV team.” The group is now the largest and wealthiest terrorist organization in the world, with affiliate groups operating everywhere from Nigeria to the Philippines.

Besides doing nothing to counter the Russian threat, Obama should be called to testify about his administration’s repeated obstruction of justice.
It was Obama’s Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, who told former FBI Director James Comey to weaken the criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server (via New York Post).

It was Obama’s National Security Advisor, Susan Rice, who authorized illegal spying on President Trump and members of his inner circle (via Washington Times).

For his numerous crimes and scandals, the former president should face a federal investigation. One honest grilling could forever end the cult of Obama.
