Quoting John Adams, 2nd president, "Foreign nations should be allowed to cut each other's throat without United States interference and Thomas Jefferson, 3rd president also said United States ought to cultivate peace, commerce and honest friendship with all nations but to get entangled with none. Our Great First President George washington in his Farewell Address wrote this: "The great rule of conduct for United States in regard to foreign nations is to have with them as little political connection as possible. It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliances with any portion of the foreign world."
