MORALITY AND ETHICALITY GO HAND and HAND

A SOCIETY CAN ONLY TRULY BE FREE, WHEN ITS CITIZENS ADHERE TO MORAL AND ETHICAL SELF APPLIED RESTRAINTS AND BOUNDARIES

Civic freedom entails ones ability to live his or her life as he or she so chooses, and also to express ones thoughts, opinions without any fear of reprisal forth coming either from the state or any other body or entity....Also to that same extent for one to be able and determine the life of his or her self and also that of their families to that same accord....Of course when one exercises these rights it must be done so in accordance with respect to certain moral and ethical limitations and boundaries...Boundaries which by the way as I have already pointed out are self applied by the individual...Ultimately such restraints cannot be forced upon the people by the state....Now you may ask that therefore to say that true freedom can only be attained by ones ability to exercise ones rights to live as he or she so chooses...Would be in direct contradiction to the point I was conveying in my post about how in any true free society....We must have moral restraints which would imply that people should not be retrained and to be left on their own accord?...My answer o this would be thus...lets think of a society not bound by any moral restraints or boundaries etc. as unrestrained or unfettered freedom as is the case in a Democracy or ( Mobacracy ) or Mob rule.....
Whereby the rule of the majority wines the day no matter how unjust or irrational..In the end the voice of the many suppresses the voice and rights of the few....In the end what we have in such a scenario is in affect anarchy and chaos...Now lets say that a society which is restrained by moral and ethical principles and values is like that of a Republic...Whereby though the citizens in such a society are free...They are never the less restrained by a number of checks and balances presented in the nations Constitution very much like the form of government we have in the United states.....So even though we still have an element of majority rule...In that same context the rights, freedoms and liberties of the minority are also safeguarded and protected from any infringement by the majority....Now back to my initial point...Where I have stated that a society which is void of any moral or ethical checks and balances cannot be a truly free state...The reason for this is in fact very simple....Basically...In a truly free state the power and authority of the state is consequently minimal and therefore the citizens of such a society are in most of the case left to their own accord to act and live as they wish with very little state interference...
Now in such a society if the citizens in the society in question are not restrained by some boundaries....We will ultimately just like in the case of a ( Mob rule scenario ) have hysteria, anarchy and chaos etc...Therefore in a free society it is imperative that the citizens live in accordance with certain moral and ethical guidelines so to maintain a harmonious, peaceful and comfortable life with minimum state interference or the danger of vise and crime....Effectively..When we look upon those states whereby the adherence to moral and ethical boundaries are lax and even non existent...We can clearly See that such societies are riddled with high levels of crime and also a strong state presence....And why?...For the simple fact that any state whereby its citizens abide by no moral restraints...are by far much more receptive for succumbing to crime and thus the state is consequently for the purpose of establishing and maintaining law and order....It is forced to take a much stronger position within that society and thus emerges what is known as the ( Police State ) or ( Nanny State )....examples....China....
There its citizens are not restrained by any moral, ethical or religious boundaries or limitations....And yet crime in China is almost non existent?...Why??...Because the state presence in the Chines society is so great that any criminal element if attempts at surfacing is crushed so severely that most people who may have criminal tendencies are reluctant and are afraid to take any actual criminal actions from fear of state reprisal...Of course there is a price which is paid for this safe and crime free environment....In turn the populace are also void of any Civic freedom, rights or Liberties and are thus totally and completely at the mercy of the state....Hence...Any true free society...Is one which its citizens practice self applied moral restraints and boundaries against excessive vise and immoral behaviours......So therefore...Is it any surprise that as we find our own society in America, becoming subverted and thus becoming ever more increasingly infected by the decadent poison of immorality and laxness in adhering to the moral and ethical restraints, that we also find that so has the presence and position of the state grown as well???...Is it not then obvious that there is a unquestionable connection between the rise of excess moral decadents and that of the increased power of the state within a society??....Perhaps it was to this end that Karl Marx made the following statements:
" Communists must enter into men's minds and cast God down from his throne."
'' To abolish religion as the illusory happiness of the people is to demand their real happiness. The demand to give up illusions about the existing state of affairs is the demand to give up a state of affairs which needs illusions. The criticism of religion is therefore in embryo the criticism of the vale of tears, the halo of which is religion. ''
