Dirge #05: The Blasphemer

"Jesus was a trickster, a joker, a fraud," sneered the man over his cup of tea;
his dear mother was trying again to help her son come to Christ and be set free.
Beware, scurrilous pervert, who tries to drag God through the dirt!
With slanderous abuse you're much more than obtuse,
You will never succeed to subvert!
"He's a giant invisible man in the sky," spat the woman on the internet;
there will soon come a day at the Throne when there's no more time to regret.
Beware what you say to lead others away!
Satan's using you now, but one day you'll kowtow,
but by then there'll be nothing but Hell to pay!
"Ask me once more and I'll still tell you NO," he rejected salvation again;
this is blasphemy of the Spirit no less, constantly rebuffing the Lamb that was slain.
You will not be forgiven, never seeing God's Heaven!
What you always oppose will with judgment impose;
in the end there'll be no quarter given!
If you stop right now and run to the Lord, and then fall to the cross on your knees,
There might still be a chance to save your lost soul and reverse your spiritual disease.
Blasphemy's not a joke, it's a terrible yoke.
 Please repent right this moment while there's time for atonement!

1 "But know this: Difficult times will come in the last days.
2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, proud,
     blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,
3 unloving, irreconcilable, slanderers, without self control,
     brutal, without love for what is good,
4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasures
     rather than lovers of God,
5 holding to the form of godliness but denying its power.
     Avoid these people!"

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (HCS)
