Pentagon Says Founding Fathers Are Extremists


Basic Rights: Once more, military training has become an  Orwellian re-education camp where a radical transformation of the truth depicts  the Founding Fathers as extremists and conservative groups as "hate groups."



Saying "Give me liberty or give me death" qualifies Patrick Henry as an  extremist, according to the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute  training guide which has been obtained by Judicial Watch under a Freedom of  Information Act Request.
And so the rest of those who took up arms against the British Crown and  pledged their lives, their fortune and their sacred honor for a shot at liberty  and democracy.
Under a section titled "Extremist Ideologies," the document states, "In U.S.  history, there are many examples of extremist ideologies and movements. The  colonists who sought to free themselves from British rule and the Confederate  states who sought to secede from the Northern states are just two examples."
We would not lump the two together necessarily, but the Pentagon does. And  so, apparently, does a leftist group called the Southern Poverty Law Center  (SPLC).
In April 2013, following a terrorist shooting at the Family Research Council  (FRC) headquarters that occurred in August 2012, Judicial Watch filed multiple  FOIA requests to determine what, if any, influence SPLC's branding of hate  groups had on government agencies.
The guide, which was obtained from the Air Force but which originated with  the Pentagon, lists the SPLC as a resource for information on hate groups and  references the group several times.
On its website, the SPLC has depicted FRC as a "hate group," along with such  mainstream conservative groups as the American Family Association, Concerned  Women for America and Coral Ridge Ministries
